How long have you been in business?
Since 1978, we started making espresso machines under the name Termozona, big brass and copper beauties with ornate styling. Back then, we only made the Grande Italia espresso in cans.
What is your primary product or service?
Coffee; mainly Grande Italia espresso in it's 3 varieties plus decaff. Saccuzzo premium coffees is our newest brand and carries our family name. We exclusively import Gelato ingredients from Torronalba in Italy for customers on a national level. We also offer complete turnkey systems for espresso bars with logistic support.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
What at first was a passtime, later became an obsession, and now is a passion. All of our coffee products are roasted on-premises and everything is inspected before shipping to the customer.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
While large contract roasters focus on consistency and quantity, micro-roasters compete for the most exotic flavors and quality related attributes. We focus on a balance between both since we are referred to as the biggest micro-roaster on the east coast.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Our main headquarters and manufacturing facility is located in Newington, CT. Other locations and distribution channels are located in MA, SC, FL, WY, TX.
